- Decided the structure of the council including how regularly meetings are held and created a code of conduct.
- Met with the leader of South Kesteven District Council and some cabinet members for a question and answer session.
- Elected Chairs, Vice-Chairs and group champions as well as supported the recruitment of new members.
- Met with officers to learn more about the council and were consulted about upcoming policies.
- Introduced the TerraCycle scheme to a local school with plans to roll this out further.
- Begun plans to host a teenage market.

Our Vice Chair said 'I wanted to be part of the youth council because I believed it is essential to help improve the environment around me and try to do my part for my community by working together to improve it.I really enjoy the youth council because it allows me to meet others and debate ideas around me, gaining input and ideas I may not have thought of, and creating projects which are beneficial to those around us.'
