Trees and Woodland Strategy Consultation

South Kesteven District Council is in the process of drafting a Trees and Woodlands Strategy.

This document will set out the Council’s current position in respect of existing trees and areas of woodland in the district – including how much tree canopy cover we have; the benefits trees and woodland bring to our environment and the contribution they make to biodiversity.

It will also contain proposals for the Council to action, including proactively managing our existing trees and areas of woodland as well as working in partnership with other stakeholders to support wider tree planting across the district.

We are currently asking local people, voluntary and community groups and organisations in both the public and private sectors for their views on what should be included in the strategy.

This consultation closes on 21st February 2024.
