Only stray dogs that are secured can be collected by South Kesteven's stray dog collection contractors.
Please note that collection of a stray dog may take up to 3-4 hours depending on the contractors’ availability at the time of the request.
The service is available from 8.30am to 3.30pm (Monday-Thursday) and 8.30am until 3pm (Friday).
Please only report dogs that are found straying in this district; any dogs found out of SKDC’s district will need reporting to neighbouring authorities. Please use this map of the District to identify if this falls within our area.

Please note photos of any dogs collected that are banned breeds or greyhounds/lurchers – will not be posted on the website – you will need to contact the Environmental Protection Team via the contact information below.
If you have lost your dog, please complete our general enquiry form by clicking on the button above or emailing the team at email address ehs@southkesteven.gov.uk. Please let us know the
- dog's description including colour, breed, sex, any distinguishing features
- where the dog was lost
- when the dog was lost
- if the dog is microchipped
- any other relevant details
If we receive any reports matching the description, we will contact you saying that the dog has come into our care.
www.doglost.co.uk is an internet based dog registration scheme which actively helps you find your dog, it also informs you of other missing dogs in your area as they are reported missing.
