Stamford funding workshop to help local community organisations

A funding workshop for the Stamford area is offering guidance and help in identifying and securing grant aid to community organisations, groups and charities.

South Kesteven District Council has organised the 21 September evening event to share information on funding opportunities, including its UK Shared Prosperity Fund, LotterySK and the SK Community Fund.

There will also be a presentation on funding available through the National Lottery.

The free workshop, in Stamford's Corn Exchange, runs from 6pm to 8pm with informal discussions on what's available to support small grass roots events and initiatives through to larger projects needing capital investment.

Cllr Rhea Rayside, SKDC Cabinet member for People and Communities said: "We are covering the district with a series of workshops to make everyone aware of the range of grants and funding that we now offer.

"Our first workshop in Market Deeping was really successful, and proved how useful it is to promote available grants to make things happen and support the great work in our communities.

"I would urge organisations and charities to come and have a chat so that we can explain available options and guide them down the best route."

Further workshops are scheduled for Grantham and Bourne in coming months.

Interested parties are asked to book a place through Eventbrite to give organisers an idea on numbers attending- https://tinyurl.com/skdcfundingworkshop
