A review of polling stations across South Kesteven is under way, with the Council seeking feedback from voters.
The idea is to ensure that everyone has the most appropriate facilities to vote at elections and referendums, and that polling places are accessible to all electors.
Anyone can make their view known and also suggest proposals for specific alternative polling places.
SKDC Chief Executive Karen Bradford, who is also the Returning Officer, said: "SKDC is required by law to carry out a full review every five years of polling stations, which are officially known as polling places.
"We are inviting anyone to comment about any aspect of both the polling districts or the polling places proposed to be used at future elections.
"This process involves direct consultation with elected members and political parties, but we particularly welcome feedback from residents and those with expertise in access for people with any type of disability.
"As part of this, we are also asking anyone who takes part to provide us with suggestions for alternative venues, where possible, to assist the review process and help us find solutions."
Visit southkesteven.gov.uk/pollingreview2023 to see the draft proposals and information on how to respond to the consultation, which closes on 27th October.
Once the review has been completed, the Council will publish all correspondence received, the results of the review, and the reasons for its decisions.
Notes:
Final proposals will be considered by Full Council on 23rd November, taking into account representations received.
