A new portal to help South Kesteven Council Tax payers manage their account is 'live' online.
Householders will be easily able to see information such as what their annual charge is; what payments need making; payments already made and details of any other properties where they are or have been liable for Council Tax.
Account holders need to visit the SKDC website at www.southkesteven.gov.uk and click on the Council Tax Portal on the homepage under Council Tax and Benefits.
Transactions available online include:
- E-Billing – to remove the need for a hard copy of a bill in the post
- Viewing Council Tax bills and recovery notices
- Making a payment
- Setting up or amending a direct debit
- Applying for or cancelling a Single Person Discount
- Contacting SKDC staff with an account enquiry
Claire Moses, Head of Service for Revenues, Benefits, Customer and Community, said: "This is an important new development to make interaction with the Council so much easier for those who need to keep on top of their Council Tax transactions.
“Registering is easy, with just a few account details needed, which will permit a range of transactions and supply of information without having to call us by telephone – so it’s a faster and easier way for the customer to access what is required.
“Other features include easy uploading of documentation and the chance to tell us how you prefer to be contacted in the future, such as by email, home telephone or mobile.
“In the future we will be adding further options including letting us know when people move into, out of or within the District.”
Those without Internet access or who need help registering online can still call our helpful TeamSK staff for assistance or make an appointment to visit Customer Services in Grantham or Bourne.
